High Availability & Clustering

Clustering is the general name for the solution which allows executing one or more applications by working as a single system after establishing a communication between two or more independent servers, and is preferred by companies which have to provide continuous service and cannot tolerate even the slightest interruption. Should one of the servers encounters an error or a breakdown occur for any reason, operation process will not be interrupted in any way since the other server(s) will continue to function.

Clustering solutions can be structured actively or passively in order to maintain the minimum service interruption where the above-described multi-server applications do not support structures and this is more commonly used.
